Meet Bridget.

As one of our senior designers, Bridget loves nothing more than crafting beautiful designs that help solve problems.

With almost a decade of experience in digital art direction, visual storytelling, and UX design—Bridget believes that great outcomes combine creativity and alignment with a wider brand strategy.

Her customer-first approach means she creates interfaces that shape culture for the better, push the (aesthetic) envelope, and deliver commercial return for clients.

Over the course of her career, she has helped pitch, create, and deliver work for clients such as Peter Alexander, Just Jeans, Smiggle, Portmans, Harper’s Bazaar, Myer, Cadbury, and Disney.

While design is her specialty, Bridget also has experience spanning retail eCommerce, content creation, and digital marketing. No matter the discipline, Bridget’s contributions share a common thread: a respect for design integrity and the human experience.

Bridget thrives in fast paced environments—balancing an acute sense of detail with maintaining project momentum. Her natural leadership style is open to collaboration and feedback, and she’s consistently open to learning in an industry that continues to evolve.

We sat down with Bridget to chat about her dream mentor, online browsing habits, and favourite activities in her home city.

If you could meet one person (past or present), who would it be and what’s the one question you would ask him or her?

I would love to meet Björk—the extraordinary artist, singer, song writer, actor and all round creative.

In her 30-year career, Björk has rarely stopped questioning, inventing, and re-writing the role of the contemporary musician.

I would love to get an insight into her creative mind, and try to understand what motivates and inspires her work.

I’d also love to dive into her majestic wardrobe for pieces I can swan about the office in!

What’s one website you can’t go a day without checking?

The delicious design sites that always serve up a tasty visual treat: Dribble and Awwwards.

What’s one of your favourite things about Melbourne?

It’s got to be the coffee culture!

Mmm…tasty.

But delicious caffeine aside, Melbourne is a cultural petri dish of interesting events and a showcase of talent.

I frequent the theatre, ballet, comedy, national gallery and ACMI. But most importantly, Melbourne is home to friends, family and pups!

If you met an alien what would you say to him/her/them?

I would invite them to a ‘fika’! Fika is a Swedish custom which means taking a seat and having a chat—with coffee and cake.

We can share cross-universe ideas and broaden our horizons.

Alien or otherwise, who doesn’t like cake?

As a side note, you can take a listen of a fika-based podcast, featuring unscripted conversations with key luminaries and thought leaders in technology and design.

What’s on your music playlist right now?

Currently on the record player are the likes of  Jamie xx, Frank Ocean, Leon Bridges, Childish Gambino, Nikki & the Dove, Odesza, Banks, Father John Misty and Swedish band First Aid Kit.

If you could pick anyone as a mentor, who would it be?

This one’s easy, Beyoncé and Jay Z—as a package deal.

Why you ask? It’s obvious.

What is one skill in the world of digital you hope to improve this year?

I’d like to improve my prototyping and animation skills! There’s nothing better than when you can breathe life into a design through motion and movement.
