About CatchUp: the Guide Dogs social networking and community support platform.
Around 13 million Australians experience long-term eye conditions. While many people know the physical effects, perhaps fewer know that the experience of losing vision often comes with an associated impact on mental health: including loneliness, worry and fear.
While there are many in-person supports available, research suggests people with low vision or blindness can be hesitant to reach out to engage.
Purpose designed for people with low vision or blindness, CatchUp provides an opportunity for people to connect, learn from each other, chat about experiences, read news and updates, discover events in the community and more.
